Message Basics

Kohana messages are human friendly strings represented by a shorter word or phrase, called a "key". Messages are accessed using the Kohana::message method, which returns either an entire group of messages, or a single message.

As an example, when a user is not logged in and attempts to access a page that requires authentication, an error such as "You must be logged in to access this page" might be displayed. This message could be stored in the auth file with amust_login key:
